Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial artist who is fighting for in the UFC in the Flyweight Division is currently in Kyrgyzstani. She is the younger sister of former UFC Flyweight champ as well as fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko is an experienced Muay Thai Kickboxer began her professional fight career during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. She joined the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her power of striking by tying Nievera by knees. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended following this victory. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight by unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three bouts, but lost them to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
