Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial artist who is fighting for in the UFC in the Flyweight Division is currently in Kyrgyzstani. She is the younger sister of former UFC Flyweight champ as well as fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko is an experienced Muay Thai Kickboxer began her professional fight career during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko took the title by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 and a medal of bronze in 2008 and a medal gold in 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia started her professional journey at the age of 23 in 2003. She has won several titles including the K-1 World Champion, Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. She returned in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote and then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She joined the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her power of striking by tying Nievera by knees. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended following this victory. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight by unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three bouts, but lost them to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
